My mouth dropped. I couldn’t believe it. At first, I thought “No way”.
I was in Vegas and there it was… an all-you-can-eat pancake buffet.
Ha. Hilarious. But seriously… I was talking with a great guy named Sayan. He’s very lean. And since he’s a fitness expert, I figured he had been lean all of his life.
However, I was wrong… as in 76 pounds wrong.
That’s when it hit me that Sayan and I have a lot in common. In fact, between the 2 of us, we have lost 191 pounds combined.

Even worse, during a routine doctors appointment, Sayan discovered that his weight problem had caused him to be diagnosed with:
=> Syndrome X (a.k.a. metabolic syndrome)
=> LDL cholesterol higher than 50-year old heart disease patients
=> A severely toxic liver (a steady diet of toxin-rich junk food & beer didn’t help.)
=> Widespread, chronic inflammation (made worse by 2 torn rotator cuffs & a slipped lower back disc)
=> Dangerously high blood sugar levels
